Excellent skill in developing and dealing with effective coordination mechanism involving different level of stakeholders
Experience in promoting Market Development approach and work with SMEs
Adequate skills in monitoring and evaluating field activities
Understanding the promotion of business service market at different level
Communication, linkage, networking and negotiation capability with private and public institutions
Strong physical fitness for frequent field visit covering 4-5 districts using public/private transports and even ability to drive motor cycles with valid driving licence
Good analytical and report writing skills both for programme and expenditure
Good operational skills of commonly used computer software (MS word, Excel and Power point) including internets and websites
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
   INTERCOOPERATION (IC), a Swiss Foundation for Development and International Cooperation, is going to implement the ‘Improving Local Government services’ (ILGS) programme in collaboration with Katalyst, a project of the Ministry of Commerce and implemented by Swisscontact and GTZ international services and funded by UKAID, SDC,CIDA and the EKN. The overall development goal of ILGS is to make a substantial contribution to ensure pro-poor economic growth within the agricultural sector in line with PRSPII of GOB through improving the extension services rendered by the local government line departments. INTERCOOPERATION invites applications for the following positions of ILGS:

The Regional Coordinator is local government services. S/he is responsible to provide planning and accompaniment and monitoring supports to the partner NGO teams so that the concepts and strategies of pro-poor economic growth through improving local government services are translated into practices at all relevant levels. S/he is responsible to contact, negotiate and contract with the associations of SMEs, Private Service Providers, Business Membership Organizations at local level and relevant line agencies at Upazilla, District and Regional level in order to create an enabling enviourment for ensuring effective services through development of public-private initiatives. S/he is responsible to develop functional relationship and maintain regular liaison with the Coordinator ILGS, partner NGO and other partners of the programme.

The positions are based in Jessore, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Sylhet with frequent visits of at least 60% of the time to the field and other different places like Dhaka to contact relevant stakeholders.
